The Qsat Manual


Qsat manual
Some persons have complained of being unable to operate their qsat very well there by denying them of enjoying the box fully. So today I’m going to tell us some basic function of qsat and how to access them, lets start off
1.       How To Upgrade The Qsat
In upgrading the qsat box you have to download the software first then copy it into a clean flash drive, and insert the flash drive into the qsat via any of the usb port on the qsat, wait for the box to recognize the flash drive, press menu and navigate to UPGRADE using the volume up button. Press ok on USB/CARD UPGRADE and ok again on UDISK select the software you downloaded press ok on the software wait for the process to complete. The decoder will restart and you are done. Ensure the decoder restart before you remove the flash drive (Download the latest software from here)   
2.       How to Scan Channels
After successful upgrade of the qsat there is the to rescan the decoder to bring all the available channels out. On your remote press menu navigate to INSTALLATION > Ok, ‘0000’ is the password, > ANTENNA SETTING ok on SATELLITE and select any satellite you want to use. For those using it for DS**V select Eutelsat36A,36/ then press the blue button on your remote a new dialogue will pop up fill as below: network search put ON, channel type ALL, scan type BLIND SCAN . Then press ok on your remote wait for it to complete its scan. When asked to save channels ok YES and you are done. For those using disecq switch, you have to select the type of disecq you are using either 1.1 or 1.0 ( initially the disecq mode will be on NONE). If you are using less than four LNB ie four dish and below then you are to select disecq 1.0 select A,B,C or D for each satellite that you are to scan, after scanning the satellite and saving it select the next satellite may NILESAT or any other one  ie. The next dish select the disecq switch port and scan by pressing the blue button on the remote and complete the scan process. If you did above correctly you should see all the channels poping up, other wise go over the process again.              
3.       How to connect qsat to internet.
Before you can do much with your qsat your sat you have to connect it to the internet first, in doing this press menu on you remote, navigate to SETTING using the volume up or down button, enter ENTHERNET CONFIG, enter LINK TYPE and select GPRS if you are using sim direct or 3G if you using a modem or as it apply to you scroll down and enter CONFIG, select country that fit you and the operator scroll down to AUTOLINK and enter to to tick AUTOLINK, press the blue button on the remote to link to the internet and wait for it to link.                   
4.       How To Activate Qsat
After a successful upgrade and scanning of channels of your qsat you will need to reactivate the avatercamhd code, to do this press the menu button and navigate to SETTING, press the OK button once to alert the first item on this menu  then type 1512 as password which will not be requested initially. A new item the pops in which is XCAM SETUP enter the xcam setup, scroll down to ACAMHD and enter then press the red button on the remote to activate. Wait for it to show the date of expiration. When the expiration date is shown then you are done
5.       How to move channels
To move channels to a more convenient and easily accessible position you have to press the menu button on you remote, navigate to CHANNEL then enter CHANNEL MANAGER from here tick the channels you want to move by pressing ok on each channel at this menu  (You can tick several), after ticking scroll to where you want the channels to be and press the yellow button on the remote. The channels will move straight to that position where you pressed the yellow button. Press the exit button you will see DATA SAVING…… you are done then.
